About Me.jpgHi there! I’m Tabby, an American living abroad in Germany. I moved to Stuttgart in 2011, and found that it has been a great base for traveling all around the world. I try to visit at least one new place every month. As a result, I spend a lot of time on planes, trains, and autobahns – hence the name for this blog. Although most of my adventures are in Europe, I have explored many different places in Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and the Middle East. Basically once I started traveling, I couldn’t stop! It’s a very addictive habit, and one I encourage you to take up.

Here is My Story. Literally days after our wedding, my husband moved to Germany for his job, and it was almost a year before I could join him. Distance is always hard for couples, but it is particularly difficult as a newlywed. Then the day came when I quit my job, packed up, and said good-bye to family and friends. I was excited to finally be with my hubby, but it was scary to leave everything behind. I decided to look at the situation kind of like a clean slate and a fresh start. I was determined to fill this new chapter in my life with all sorts of adventures, imagining it to be something out of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit – but mostly because I kind of look like one or at least my height is somewhat accurate. Looking back, the only thing I regret is not starting this blog sooner. I hope you will enjoy my stories and that they will inspire you to travel too!
